Haiti Earthquake Appeal

Thank you for your very generous donations - a grand total of £248.78 was raised. We are sending the money to help rebuild a Children's Home which was damaged in the earthquake.

 

WOW Walking On Wednesdays

We meet at opposite ends of the village at 8:30am.

 

 Class 1 and Class 2: Dance Club

The Dance Club performed their dance on Tuesday 2nd March at Richard Coates Middle School. They were fantastic- great ambassadors to the school and their costumes were brilliant; thank you Louise!

Class 2

Street hockey has begun for Class 2. This club finishes at Easter.

The school football club runs after school on Friday nights throughout the year, 3.10pm to 4.30pm.  It is organised by Mr Martin Keegan, and assisted by Mrs Julie Potter.  All children in years 1 to 4 are welcome to attend.

There is currently an opportunity for the children to play in a small football league which takes place on Saturday mornings, at a variety of venues throughout March to May.  Friendly matches are also arranged throughtout the year with local schools.

Cookery Club 

Cookery Club runs on a Monday night after school, 3.10pm to 4.30pm.  It is lead by Mrs Linda Thompson who is assisted by Mrs Julie Potter.  8 children are able to attend for a block of 6 weeks.  Any child in the school can place their name on the waiting list, with places allocated in rotation.

A variety of recipes and techniques are learnt to encourage a healthy approach to eating.

The club is free due to funding from the organisation 'Let's Get Cooking'.

Accordian Tuition

Accordian  lessons will take place on Tuesday mornings as usual with Mrs. Tocker.

Guitar Tuition

Guitar lessons are now on Tuesdays with Mr. Dave Medd. If any child is interested in lessons next term, please see Mrs. Elliott.
